EU and Latin American leaders are in Peru for a summit on trade and climate issues. Arriving for the gathering, German chancellor Angela Merkel didn't comment on the recent war of words she's had with Venuzela's president Hugo Chavez, who called her a political descendant of Hitler. This came after she said Chavez had damaged relations with Europe. One thorny issue at the summit is free trade. Differing outlooks between Latin American leaders are already looking to undermine the meeting's progress.
