Zimbabwe's President Robert Mugabe is facing mounting pressure from neighboring countries, the US and the UN as his country's political and economic crisis worsens. The United Nations says a free and fair election now looks impossible; the US is urging regional leaders to to declare both the election and Mugabe's government illegitimate. But the aging president, who has held power for decades, seems determined to hold on to it by any means.
