"Christina Aguilera: from doll to Wuchtbrumme" proclaimed an online press report in 2012, with unflattering photos of the pop star who has not only grown continually wider over the past decade, but is also known for not keeping her thoughts to herself.

Perhaps you know a famous Wuchtbrumme, or maybe just a friend who is not afraid to speak her mind, and can never be overlooked. Derived from Wucht, meaning power or energy and Brumme, the colloquial term for bumble bee, Wuchtbrumme is used only in reference to a woman - typically big-boned and self-assured.

In Germany, comedian Cindy aus Marzahn (pictured) is one such example. Just like the word, these women leave a lasting impression!
