US President Obama and Russian President Medvedev sign a landmark nuclear arms treaty

The presidents of the US and Russia, Barack Obama and Dmitry Medvedev, have signed a landmark treaty reducing their nuclear arsenals by about a third. The two leaders signed the new Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty in the Czech capital Prague. President Obama said the new treaty would open 'a new page' in relations between their countries.
