Travel tips for William and Kate in Germany

Prince William and Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, are visiting Germany from July 19 to 21. They'll be going to Berlin, Heidelberg and Hamburg. The itinerary is set, but if there are any gaps, here are some tips.

It's the first time the British royal couple is visiting Germany together. William and Kate will be going to Berlin, Heidelberg and Hamburg from July 19-21. Their children George (3) and Charlotte (2) will be with them. The agenda mixes political, economic and cultural engagements with sightseeing. The British embassy in Berlin says the aim of the trip is to get to know the people in Germany through many personal encounters and to deepen Britain's friendship with Germany. But perhaps there will be time for seeing few places that aren't on official itinerary.
