America's auto industry is facing an uncertain future after the United States senate rejected a bill to grant the country's three largest car makers 10.6 Bbillion euros in emergency loans. The deal - designed to prop up the ailing industry - was agreed in the House of Representatives on Wednesday. But it collapsed in the Senate after Republicans demanded pay cuts for auto workers.
