The United States is to provide 200 Million dollars in emergency food aid to help counter shortages in Africa and elsewhere. The move follows an appeal by top finance and development officials, who've warned that social unrest is likely to increase in the wake of rising food shortages and soaring prices. Riots have erupted over the past weeks across the globe from the Phillipines and Indonesia, to Egypt and Haiti. The worst violence has been in West and Central Africa. +++MAZ+++
