The German parliament approves a multi Billion rescue package for the Eurozone

The German parliament has approved a law ensuring Berlin's 148 billion Euro contribution to an emergency debt package for Eurozone countries. Chancellor Angela Merkel called it a clear signal towards a culture of more stability in the Eurozone. But, Merkel remains under fire for her handling of the crisis, and 10 members of her own centre-right coalition joined the opposition in refusing to support the legislation.
