UN Secretary General Ban ki Moon has arrived on Afghanistan on a previously unannounced visit. Ban's spokesman says he's due to hold talks with President Hamid Karzai and opposition leader Abdullah Abdullah. Karzai is the only candidate left in the run-off ballot on 7th November after Abdullah quit the race. The Afghan Election Commission says the election WILL go ahead despite Abduallah's decision - which has plunged the country into renewed political uncertainty.
