It is not only the athletes who have been limbering up for the Championships. TECHNICAL preparations for the competition have been in full swing for four years. The organisers have faced a mammoth task readying the city's Olympic Stadium for the event. More than 50 international broadcasters are planning to transmit coverage of the championships to some 190 countries and hundred of thousands of spectators are expected to attend the event over the next week. And while Germany gained invaluable experience hosting the SOCCER World Cup in 2006, the World ATHLETICS championships has presented a unique challenge.
