Turkish artillery have hit targets near Syria's Tel Abyad border town for a second day in response to a mortar shell fired from Syrian territory. Five civilians lost their lives in Ak-ca-kale. Parliamentarians are debating in a closed session an extension for foreign military operations. France has called on the United Nations Security Council to send a clear message to Syria condemning the mortar attack on Turkey.
