Sofia Kleftaki

Writer and reporter, predominantly for DW's Greek Service. Specializes in migration, social issues and the environment.

Sofia has lived in Athens since 2006. After completing her degree in Media Studies, she moved into journalism, reporting on international affairs for Greek television. She joined DW in 2022.

Born in Berlin and with a Greek family background, Sofia has for many years focused on the linguistic and cultural integration of refugees in Germany. She has been reporting from Greece for DW since 2022. She specializes in social policy and cultural issues, EU migration policy and environmental disasters.
