This weekend is the centenary of the event which most historians agree triggered World War 1, the assassination of the Austrian Archduke Franz Ferdinand in Sarajevo. Numerous events have been organized to mark the anniversary. But both the Serbian Prime Minister and President are boycotting the ceremonies. The Archduke's assassin was a young Bosnian Serb nationalist named Gavrilo Princip.
