In what appears to be Russia´s worst rail disaster in years, at least 26 people have been killed and close to a hundred injured after a crash in the country´s north-west. Carrying over 600 passengers, the Nevsky Express was on its way from Moscow to Saint Petersburg when part of the train derailed near the village of Balagoye. State prosecutors have opened a criminal case on charges of terrorism and illegal possession of explosives.
