# Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin has called for the European Union and Russia to link up in a single free-trade zone. He put forward the idea here in Berlin - where he's holding talks with Chancellor Angela Merkel on trade and economic issues. Putin says an "economic community" with Russia could ultimately lead to a free trade zone or "even more advanced forms of integration."
