Munich: centre of financial crisis in Germany - je 06.10.2008 14

Munich is Germany's 2nd biggest financial market after Frankfurt. Germany's biggest insurance companies are based here - Allianz and Munich Re. Hypo Real Estate is also centered in Munich and has a wide network of business deals. Like in the US and the UK, German officials say Hypo was simply too big to fail.
