Iran's supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has told defeated presidential candidate Mir-Hossein Moussavi to to pursue his appeal against Friday's election results calmly and using legal means, according to Iranian state television. Moussavi has submitted an official complaint against the result, saying the vote was rigged in favor of incumbent President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. Iran's top legislative body, the Guardian Council, announced today that it will issue a ruling within the next ten days on the poll's validity. Meanwhile Iran's Interior Ministry has banned a protest rally later today by Mousavi supporters.
