Luxury hotel in Hamburg's Elbphilharmonie opens

The hotel has 244 rooms and suites, located between the ninth and the nineteenth floor. The rooms with their floor to ceiling windows offer panoramic views across the Elbe River, the harbor, the Speicherstadt district and the Hafencity quarter. From the hotel lobby on the eighth floor guests have direct access to the public Plaza and the Elbphilharmonie concert hall. 

Those wishing to stay at the hotel will have to fork out 220 euro (234 US $) for a standard room and 1,100 euro for a suite.  

The Elbphilharmonie, designed by the Swiss architecture firm Herzog & de Meuron, comprises two concert halls, a hotel as well as 44 condominiums and multi-story parking. The grand concert hall is due to be officially opened on January 11th, 2017 with a performance by the NDR Elbphilharmonie orchestra.
