J.K. Rowling lashes out at Donald Trump
December 9, 2015Republican presidential hopeful Donald Trump continues to fill headlines, most recently by causing outrage with his public demand to ban Muslims from entering the United States.
Between insulting broadcasters and endorsing outlawed torture techniques, Trump has made a name for himself as a conservative hardliner who might secure the Republican nomination for the 2016 presidential race. But GOP supporters aren't the only ones attributing Trump with the competence needed to fill some rather big shoes.
People have taken to Twitter to express their views on "The Donald" in light of his latest anti-immigration soundbites, with one particular comparison trending particularly heavily in recent days.
The Dark Lord did, however, not react too kindly to the accusations, sending out his own tweet in response to the alleged smear campaign:
J.K. Rowling reacts
With fact often being stranger than fiction, Harry Potter-author J.K. Rowling herself joined the online debate after hearing that Trump had widely been compared to He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named.
One particular quote from "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone" may come to mind, taking numerous similarities between Voldemort's obsession with pure blood and Trump's very own tactics to "make America great again" into consideration.
"There is no good and evil. There is only power, and those too weak to seek it."
