When reviewing the knock-out rounds of Euro 2004, the group stages look like a stroll in the park. Although the opening games saw the likes of Germany, Italy and Spain drop out in dramatic circumstances, and produced spectacular games like Portugal's defeat by Greece and France's last gasp victory over England; the quarter- and semi-finals were "do or die" contests full of agony and ecstasy.
