Israel's proposal of a corridor would allow entry of humanitarian supplies into parts of the Gaza for a limited period of time. It comes amidst mounting criticism by international aid groups, which say the situation for civilians in Gaza is catastrophic. Fighting continues there this morning, with the air force, navy and artillery striking around 30 targets since midnight according to Israeli military sources.
