#9/11, London, Madrid... is Germany the next target in Al Qaeda's global terrorist campaign? The Interior Minister says intelligence services have uncovered concrete information about plans to attack targets in Germany at the end of the month, and has ordered heightened security measures across the country. Thomas de Maziere says there is reason to be concerned, but no reason for hysteria. And indeed, the German public seems to be taking the news in stride... perhaps that has to do with the country's track record. Time and time again, the authorities have managed to shut down terrorist plots before the attacks were carried out.
