How young people are fighting climate change

For some, it’s just a phase after school; for others, it’s a commitment to save the environment and our dwindling resources. Either way, a growing number of teenagers are getting involved in preserving threatened habitats or endangered rainforests. The Kenyan environmental organization Ecofinder, for instance, attracts several international volunteers who pitch in to improve living conditions around Africa’s largest lake, Lake Victoria. Global warming, a growing population and deforestation along the lake’s shores have all had a strong impact on the region. Global Ideas accompanies two young volunteers as they work together with the local population.
