Germany's environment minister has decided to scrap plans to double the amount of ethanol that can be mixed into gasoline. Sigmar Gabriel said that too many of Germany's cars were unable to use the mix. The news deals a blow to so-called "green fuels" meant as a way of reducing harmful emissions.
