Germany's defence minister meets the Afghan president in an unannounced visit to the country

Germany's new Defence Minister is on an unannounced visit to Afghanistan. Karl-Theodor zu Guttenberg told President Hamid Karzai that his country remains committed to its mission in Afghanistan. But he said Karzai's new administration must outline a clear plan for the future.
