German Chancellor Angela Merkel has urged Liechtenstein to take rapid action to combat tax fraud. Merkel, speaking at a joint news conference with Liechtenstein Prime Minister Otmar Hasler in Berlin, said she wanted good relations with the principality, but stressed it must show significant progress. The furore between the countries comes as German tax investigators launched a series of raids across the country last week to catch tax dodgers.
