The maker of Mercedes cars faces allegations that it paid tens of millions of dollars in bribes to secure business contracts overseas. Reports say Daimler has agreed to pay 185-Mmillion dollars to resolve the long-running US probe. But Daimler is one of a number of major German corporations to be hit recently by a corruption scandal.
