After years of investigations by American authorities, German carmaker Daimler is to answer charges of bribery in a US court today. The maker of Mercedes cars faces allegations that it paid tens of millions of dollars in bribes to secure business contracts overseas. Reports say that Daimler has agreed to pay 185-Mmillion dollars to resolve the long-running US probe. But Daimler is not the first German company to be engulfed by a major corruption scandal.
