Germany's big banks have indicated they are going to join government efforts to throw a financial lifeline to debt striken Greece. The head of Deutsche Bank Josef Ackermann said this was important signal for the 16-member Eurozone and the world economy - and indicated their support for rescue and reform plans for Athens. He was speaking after talks with the German finance minister Wolfgang Schäuble and other leading bankers. The German cabinet has already approved lending almost 22 and a half Bbillion Euros to Greece.
