Games and Toy Fairs

The International Toy Fair in Nuremberg calls itself the "world's No.1 for creative leisure activities" and offers everything from applied arts to educational toys to dolls and multimedia games. More than 80,300 visitors came this year and 2,767 exhibitors from 60 countries displayed about one million products.

The Leipzig Games Convention calls itself "Europe's first comprehensive adventure fair for interactive entertainment, infotainment, edutainment and hardware." In 2007, some 268 exhibitors and 183,000 visitors attended. The fair is split into two parts, with a business center and another section reserved for private visitors who want to try out new games.

Spiel in Essen is an international trade fair for board games. It calls for "four days of fun, meeting friends, playing and testing thousands of games and novelties together with gamers from all over the world." It draws some 151,000 visitors and 730 exhibitors from 31 countries.
