The YPG's foreign fighters

Soldiers from western countries, including the US, UK and Germany, have voluntarily joined the Kurdish Peoples' Protection Units (YPG) to fight "Islamic State" militants in Syria. The YPG is one of the most effective groups battling the Islamists.
