Global trade representatives meet in Geneva today in an attempt to breathe new life into the stalled Doha Round of talks. Richer countries are demanding more access to services markets in developing nations. But for their part, developing states want richer countries to stop subsidizing farm exports. Here in the EU, farmers receive 1-point-4- Bbillion Euros a years. Many here say the subsidies distort EU food prices.
