The annual EU-Russia summit has kicked off near the Chinese border under a cloud of increased tensions between the partners. Energy security is expected to top the list of uncomfortable issues - the EU wants guarantees that there will be no repeat of the disruptions in gas supply seen earlier this year due to the gas dispute between Russia and Ukraine. The leaders will also be looking to negotiate a new EU-Russia partnership accord. It's a full agenda, and analysts say it's not clear how much progress can actually be made.
