Pittko Pittkunings is a Sorbian poet, cabaret artist and singer-songwriter who uses his art to keep the language and culture of the Sorbs, the Spreewald’s original Slavic folk, alive. Today, about 7,000 people around the Spreewald speak Sorbian, and more than half of all residents there have Sorbian forefathers. Pittkunings shows Discovery Germany three of his favorite places in the Spreewald.
