This could be the future of classical music: Isata and Sheku Kanneh-Mason are conquering concert halls - where black musicians are still the exception. We met the British siblings at a joint concert at the Rheingau Music Festival.


Musical World Tour: The Campus Project

Making music together across cultural boundaries: that’s the idea behind the youth exchange project Campus. On its 20th anniversary, young musicians from all over Europe are invited to participate in the Beethovenfest in Bonn.

He’s one of the most renown contemporary composers from Japan: Toshio Hosokawa combines Western avant-garde with Japanese tradition, drawing inspiration from the Zen Buddhist interpretation of nature. 


The Organ - Instrument of the Year 2021 

When a stream of air is blown through ten-meter-long organ pipes, the complex soundscape that’s created is almost magical. Musicians Ulrich Eckhardt and Cameron Carpenter share their love of the organ, a very special instrument.
