The euro has eased slightly against other major currencies Wednesday, but it still remains near record highs. And, with the euro expected to strengthen further in the coming weeks top European economic policymakers including ECB President, Jean Claude Trichet, are in China this week to urge Beijing to allow its currency, the Yuan, to rise in value. In order to do that, China would have to relax its peg to the US Dollar - something Beijing says it will do when it feels the time is appropriate. But China has said it will cooperate with the EU to maintain friendly trade relations.
