Augsburg 1-3 Bayern Munich
(Koo 67' - Lewandowski 19', 48' Robben 21' )

Robert Lewandowski scored two and made one as Bayern Munich repeated their Cup win over Augsburg in midweek by the same scoreline.

The Poland striker opened the scoring with a neat finish to cap a fine counterattack that involved Arturo Vidal, Philipp Lahm and Arjen Robben.

Lewandowski turned provider moments later, cutting back for Robben to pass the ball in from close range.

Soon after the restart, Lewandowski added his second of the afternoon and again Robben was the provider. The Dutchman seized on a loose pass by Gojko Kacar, spotted the run of Lewandowski, who rounded Augsburg keeper Marwin Hitz and rolled the ball into the empty net.

Augsburg restored some pride with a goal of their own, with Ja-Cheol Koo tapping in from close range.

Schalke extended their unbeaten run to seven games with a hard-fought draw at Borussia Dortmund.

In the 149th Ruhr Derby, Schalke defended deep and frustrated their opponents for long periods, restricting Dortmund to the occasional half chance.

Ousmane Dembele had the best chance of the match when he reached Christian Pulisic's flick-on but could only hit the bar.

Mario Götze, who looked more like his old self, could have won it late on when he found a way through the Schalke defence, but could only find the side-netting.

The result means Dortmund miss the chance to go third, while Schalke climb to 12th.

The visitors turned the game on its head four minutes later when Croatian Tin Jedvaj slotted home after his initial shot was charged down.

Sabitzer grabbed his second of the afternoon with a sneaky finish at the near post after substitute Oliver Burke squeezed in a cross from the right.

Maximilian Philipp scored a fine individual goal to open the scoring, dribbling his way into a shooting position before guiding a low effort beyond Felix Wiedwald.

Freiburg doubled their lead from the spot, with Vincenzo Grifo finding the bottom corner after Karim Guede was hauled down in the box.

Santiago Garcia pulled one back for Bremen, cushioning in Zlatko Junuzovic's lofted pass, but the comeback was short-lived. Amir Abrashi scoring a third for Freiburg to seal their first away win of the season.

The visitors' misery was compounded late on when Max Christiansen was sent off for a second bookable offence. Ingolstadt are still without a win in the league this season.
