Bundesliga Matchday 22 in pictures
What a Bundesliga weekend: Last-minute drama, a six-goal win, an equalizer from a goalkeeper, red cards and a penalty - matchday 22 had it all!
Dost fires Wolfsburg to victory
Can anyone stop Bas Dost? The Dutch striker has more than filled the void of Ivica Olic for Wolfsburg, scoring 12 goals in his last seven games and 11 in the league in 2015. It's just Lionel Messi in all of Europe's top leagues who has scored more. Hertha Berlin are resigned to second-bottom.
Gladbach snatch draw at Hamburg
After a dull 90 minutes, Gladbach were just pleased to scrape through with a point. Branimir Hrgota scored from a header in stoppage time to level the scores, cancelling out the opening goal from Zoltan Stieber.
Hitz the hero for Augsburg
Returning to the starting line-up for the first time in three months, Marwin Hitz didn't look at his best for the majority of Augsburg's game against Leverkusen. He was even at fault for Leverkusen's opening goal. But in stoppage time the keeper was in the right place at the right time to level the scores - firing home inside the six-yard box.
Bayern only score six against Paderborn
Like a Saturday stroll in the park, Bayern Munich dispatched of Paderborn in what looks like an inevitable march toward defending the Bundesliga title. After beating Hamburg 8-0 last week, Pep Guardiola's men kept it down to a half-dozen in the Benteler Arena. For the league's newcomers, it was the heaviest defeat of the season. Is this the start of an unhappy ending?
Frankfurt's Mainz frustration continues
Eintracht Frankfurt have never won a Bundesliga match in Mainz, and they were thwarted again on Saturday despiute going ahead early. The Eagles conceded two quick goals at the start of the second half as they lost 3-1 to their local rivals. Johannes Geis and Yunus Malli were again standout performers and ensured that coach Martin Schmidt won his first game in charge of Mainz.
Werder salvage a point with late goal
Werder Bremen didn't manage to win their sixth in a row when they visited Schalke on Saturday, but can be thankful they drew after a bad error by goalkeeper Raphael Wolf. The Werder keeper spilled a long shot by Meyer, leaving Schalke all but home and dry. But substitute Sebastian Prödl scored a last-minute header to spare his keeper's blushes and continue Werder's unbeaten run.
Hoffenheim miss chance to win
Hoffenheim remain a team that, on paper at least, should be a lot more effective team. This weekend as they were held 1-1 by Freiburg in a game they perhaps should have won. Immanuel Höhn's early goal was cancelled out by a Kevin Volland rocket, but 1899 never managed to break through for the lead in the second half.
Cologne splits points with Hanover
And on a day of draws, the late match didn't disappoint. Joselu put visitors Hanover up after only six minutes, but Anthony Ujah wiped out that advantage in minute 17. For the remaining 75-odd minutes, the teams neutralized one another. The 1-1 doesn't really hurt, but it doesn't really do either of these mid-table clubs any major good either.
Dortmund make it three in a row, just
On Friday night, Dortmund beat Stuttgart 3-2 as Jürgen Klopp's side continue to grow back into the team the league has grown accustomed to in recent years. Superb interplay allowed Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Ilkay Gündogan to score in the first half, and although Stuttgart dared to come back, a late goal from Marco Reus proved decisive.
