Austrian students’ uphill battle against Facebook

Facebook held held direct talks this week with an Austrian student group which is challenging the social networking site's privacy policies. The meeting came after a ruling by the Irish Data Protection Commission which criticized Facebook and upheld many of the students’ claims. The Irish authority has jurisdiction because that’s where Facebook has its European office. As Kerry Skyring reports from Vienna, the group known as Europe vs Facebook is reporting some progress on its concerns but is still far from satisfied with Facebook’s privacy policies.
