In Senegal, women are moving into the traditionally male-dominated IT sector. In Coding Clubs, women students are learning to program apps and develop modern solutions to their country's long-standing problems.

Senegal is investing heavily in its digital future and has achieved some initial successes. 24-year-old student Nellya Maylis and three friends have developed an app that's making an impact: Sigeste, as it's called, helps to resolve disputes over land ownership and transactions - a major issue in Senegal, where deed registrations are incomplete and inaccessible to many ordinary people. The app can be used to upload notarial deeds, making it difficult for swindlers to sell land they don't own.
