After months of wrangling, German carmaker Opel finds a buyer - but not everyone is convinced it's a good deal

The future is looking a bit brighter for the troubled German carmaker Opel - for now at least. On Thursday, German Chancellor Angela Merkel announced that General Motors has agreed to sell a majority stake in Opel to the Canadian auto-parts maker Magna. The agreement couldn't have come at a better time for the Chancellor, who is facing national elections at the end of the month. But there are still some doubts over whether Magna has what it takes to turn Opel around.
