Sunday Oliseh the Olympic Champion
He won a gold medal with Nigeria in 1996 and became a German champion with Borussia Dortmund in 2001. Now he has a second career as a coach and is as hungry as ever. “I would love to coach in Europe, in the history of football we have rarely had an African coach in Europe.”
Bachirou Salou the Star from Togo
He experienced a more unusual route to Europe’s top leagues than most African footballers. He was signed by Borussia Mönchengladbach as a 20-year-old. “I’d always heard the name, so in Togo it was a big thing.” He is still in Germany today, working at a football coaching academy.
