A court in Burma has found opposition leader Aung San Suu Kyi guilty of violating the terms of her house arrest and extended her sentence by an additional 18 months. Officials said the court initially sentenced Suu Kyi to three-years of hard labor. Suu Kyi was convicted of breaking the terms of her confinement by allowing an American man into her home in May. The trial has sparked international condemnation. The Nobel Peace Prize laureate has spent nearly 14 of the past 20 years in detention.
